As always the annual Call of Duty unveiling is big news in the industry and so today, we received our first look at this year’s entry, Cold War.
First things first, the title will release on November 13th and there will be a beta for those that pre-order the game digitally. And again, it looks as though Call of Duty is continuing their marketing deal with PlayStation as the beta will arrive first on PS4.
Also if you pre-order, you will receive Operator Woods and a weapon blueprint for Modern Warfare/Warzone. Lastly, if you missed our article yesterday, you can find out more details on what’s included in each edition, including PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades, here.
Here is the official reveal trailer and screenshots with the multiplayer unveiling to occur on September 9th!
Our Take
We’re liking what we’re seeing to date, but then marketing has never been Call of Duty’s issue. We hope the shortened development cycle hasn’t impacted the overall product and Treyarch will still deliver a meaningful entry in the series while bringing some new concepts.
