IGN’s Jonathon Dornbush has gotten an opportunity to spend 4 hours in the world of Horizon: Forbidden West, giving us the first ever long-form impressions on one of the biggest releases of the year.
According to Dornbush, Horizon Forbidden West is shaping up to be a fulfillment of all the promises of Zero Dawn and then some. In the preview he goes over major changes to the games movement and exploration systems, combat, presentation, world design, and more. One quote that was very eye opening, was when he compared the evolution of Zero Dawn to Forbidden West to that of Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed II. The AC franchise took a monumental leap with its sequel, and it is because of that leap that the franchise is as big as it is today. With how well the original Zero Dawn landed, the type of leap being described here has us at Seasoned Gaming excited.
