Earlier today Nintendo held a Treehouse Live event which primarily featured Paper Mario (which releases next Friday, July 17th) as well a few new additions to the Switch lineup.
The walkthrough of Paper Mario lasted approximately 30 minutes and featured a few Nintendo employees walking us through the world, discussing the combat system, sharing gameplay details, and more.
The second half of Treehouse Live featured the previously announced Bakugan : Champions of Vestroia. You can find that reveal and gameplay below:
Our Take
Nintendo has been rather quiet lately so it’s good to see an update on their largest title of the Summer in Paper Mario. Meanwhile, the reception to Bakugan has been less than stellar with YouTube showing a near 3:1 ratio of dislikes to likes (as of this writing). Regardless, we hope Nintendo has more to show in the coming weeks.
