The most frequent question asked of CD Projekt Red is if they are going to make another Witcher title after Cyberpunk 2077. Given the success of Witcher 3 and now the new Netflix series, it seems to be a no-brainer. Fortunately for all of us, there’s good news.
According to some sources familiar with CD Projekt Red’s plans, after Cyberpunk 2077 launches in September, the development studio will break into three different teams.
- The first team will continue to work on content for Cyberpunk 2077 – expansions and updates.
- The second team will develop the planned online multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077 which is set to launch in 2022.
- The third team will begin development on a new title in the “Witcher Universe”. What exactly it will be hasn’t been shared just yet.
Daniel Ahmad, an industry analyst, confirmed the news yesterday evening.
