We’ve covered the controversy surrounding Cyberpunk 2077’s release many times over. Outside of the game however, CD Projekt Red has been producing a Cyberpunk 2077 anime series with Netflix titled “Edgerunners” in collaboration with Trigger. It was announced with a release date of 2022.
According to Rafal Jaki, Business Development Director at CD Projekt Red, the show finished pre-production a while ago and is currently in full production. All things considered, it seems it will release in 2022 as planned. It wouldn’t surprise us if CD Projekt Red aligns the series with additional content in the game as expansions, PS5 and Xbox Series console upgrades, and multiplayer are all still in development.
