According to the latest issue of Gematsu, Platinum Games will make a major game announcement next week.
If you recall, Platinum recently launched a teaser website for “Platinum 4” which we believe is related to Drakengard. According to Studio Head Hideki Kamiya, they also stated that development continues to go well on Bayonetta 3 (but that this announcement is unrelated).
Our Take
Platinum seemingly has several projects in the works and for a studio that isn’t a major, AAA studio, it feels like they have a lot on their plate. That said, with Bayonetta 3 being hotly anticipated and the possibility of a new Nier or Drakengard on the way, they certainly have our attention. Keep your eye on SG next week!
