Ubisoft Announces its Release Plans through First Quarter 2021

Ragnorok

During the Ubisoft earnings call earlier today, the company shared its release schedule plans for their upcoming titles through March of 2021.

The first three were shown at E3 last year and recently delayed. They are:

  • Watch Dogs Legion
  • Gods & Monsters
  • Rainbow Six Quarantine

The other two were said to be from Ubisoft’s “biggest franchises” and sources have now confirmed they are:

  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Far Cry

Obviously for those like us hoping for a new Splinter Cell, don’t lose all hope just yet. This schedule is simply what’s releasing in the next year and we’re sure Ubisoft will be showing more off for the future as the year goes on.

Our Take

After the delays, it’s good to see Legion and Gods & Monsters back on the release schedule particularly as Legions has so much potential. Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok is one of the worst kept secrets in gaming so that is not a surprise. Far Cry however, we expected Ubisoft to take a hiatus on as it seemed to be burnt out after the sub-par reception to 5 and more recent New Dawn. If it is a full fledged Far Cry 6, we hope they plan to introduce some new mechanics.
