I’m not quite sure if someone had this secretly planned, but today has seen the release of a host of classic games and notable indies. All of the below titles have released today, April 18th, on their respective platforms. Give them some love!
The Disney Afternoon Collection
For those that remember the Disney Afternoon cartoons, this collection will bring back a flood of memories. But even if you don’t, you’re getting a package of 4 classic games for a good price.
Voodoo Vince Remastered
Voodoo Vince wasn’t a large commercial success, but the game holds a special place in original Xbox fans’ hearts. Meant to be a platforming mascot for the platform, he quietly slipped into obscurity. Thankfully, Vince is getting another chance at the spotlight and maybe we’ll see more of him in the future.
Full Throttle Remastered
Tim Schafter’s adventure classic is back! It’s been nice to see point and click adventure games coming back into style so it’s no surprise that we get to see Full Throttle back in action.
Wonder Boy : The Dragon’s Trap
Originally Wonder Boy 3, the Dragon’s Trap was a favorite in the series for many. Not only has Lizardcube remastered the game entirely, they’ve given you the ability to play in classic graphics and even the capability to import your classic save!
Shiness : The Lightning Kingdom
Shiness is a a turn-based JRPG with style and a world supposedly holding substantial substance for a smaller title.
Flinthook
Flinthook is an action game with a charming style from the developer of Mercenary Kings.
Late Shift
If you like interactive movies, then Late Shift may be for you. It’s a Full Motion Video in which you simply make the key decision points. Featuring 17 different possible endings, you can experience Late Shift in many different ways.
I’m not sure what we did to deserve these releases all on the same day, but I’m going to take advantage of it regardless!
