Review : Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 : Holding the Line

It was hard to know how to feel heading into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Ignoring the hilarious full-circle moment of it being almost 20 years since the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out, this new entry is arriving at a time where the franchise has seen far…

Review : Control Resonant : I Have The Power

Every time I see bemoaning that high budget, AAA gaming has become stagnant and devoid of cool weird ideas, it makes me realize the gaming community at large does not appreciate Remedy Entertainment. For many years, Remedy has operated at such a high concept level within the established AAA mold,…

Review : Onimusha Way of the Sword : Onipotent

I do not blame you if you take a first glance at Onimusha: Way of the Sword and your first reaction is “ENOUGH WITH ALL THESE SAMURAI GAMES!” When you think of the enormous amount of games that have come out this past half decade with a similar motif, it…

Review : Wild Blue Skies : Flying Too Close to the Sun

The first moment I saw Wild Blue Skies, it was hard not to think about Star Fox. Nintendo's often ignored on-rails space dogfight shooter is the gold standard when I think of old school on-rail shoot-em ups. My dad and I played through Star Fox 64 so often it became a weekend…
