SEC Opens Investigation into Activision Blizzard Over Workplace Practices

The allegations against Activision-Blizzard just got a whole lot more serious on Monday as the SEC has opened a formal investigation into the company, and subpoenaed several of its executives including CEO Bobby Kotick.

According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, federal securities regulators have launched a wide-ranging investigation into Activision Blizzard Inc., including how the videogame-publishing giant handled employees’ allegations of sexual misconduct and workplace discrimination. This is just the next of many suits the videogame giant is currently facing and just last month, California filed a state-level lawsuit against the corporation as well.
