Future Games Show : Recap and Gameplay Trailers

The Future Games Show wrapped up yesterday evening with glimpses of a wealth of titles that are heading our way. We’ve summarized the majority of them below for you with their associated trailers. Enjoy!


Back 4 Blood

The show provided an extended look at the Left 4 Dead spiritual successor which included a new feature to the AI Director system. Before each round, the Director will play cards that modify the enemies you’ll face, but you’ll be able to play your own as well.


Life is Strange : True Colors

The latest chapter in Life is Strange, below you can learn about Alex Chen (the new protagonist).


Kena : Bridge of Spirits

Below you can see new footage from the beautiful title from Ember Labs.


The Lord of the Rings : Gollum

We finally got a chance to see gameplay from the upcoming Lord of the Rings title during the pre-show.


SIFU

Absolver Developer Sloclap showed off more of their upcoming kung-fu fighting game Sifu. You take the role of a student looking to avenge his murdered family. The title will contain five assassin bosses which are inspired by the elements of Chinese mythology. It was also noted that every time you die, your character ages. Though what effect this will have long-term in the game we’re unsure.


Martha is Dead

In this psychological thriller you take the role of Julia, who has to deal with the trauma of losing her twin sister Martha during World War 2.


Quantum Error

Axiom Verge 2

The acclaimed Axiom Verge has players overwhelmingly excited for its sequel to finally arrive. During the show Developer Thomas Happ walked players through some of the game.
