PlayStation Announces New Montreal Studio Led by Jade Raymond

There’s already been a wealth of gaming related news this week, and it’s only Tuesday. Not to be outdone, PlayStation announced this morning that they are opening a new, independent studio in Montreal named Haven. The studio will be led by ex-Stadia Vice President Jade Raymond.

At this time, details are rather scarce. Per the PlayStation Blog, Haven is beginning work on a new IP for PlayStation. Jade will lead a team of industry veterans. We will share more details once we have them!

Our Take

This is seemingly good news for both PlayStation and Jade Raymond herself. After the dismantling of Stadia first-party, many were left out in the cold so it’s always a good thing to see them land back with a new, more positive, opportunity. We’re excited to see what they produce in the future!
