Halo Master Chief Collection may be one of the greatest comeback stories of the era when it comes to the gaming industry. After a disastrous launch in 2014, which left fans in complete frustration with 343 Industries and Xbox, the teams have continued to refine the title. And after a few years, it has become one of the greatest collection of games ever put together.
Well for Xbox Series X and S owners, it’s about to get even sweeter. On November 17th, the title will be optimized for the new consoles and include:
- Optimizations for the new platforms
- 120FPS support on the Series X and S
- Up to native 4K support on the Series X
- Split-screen improvements
- FOV slider
- Cross-generation support
Our Take
The care with which 343 Industries has handled MCC since 2014 is admirable. While it should have never launched in the state it did, now it represents one of our favorite collections and having these titles continue to be optimized as hardware improves is priceless!
