With a new console generation rapidly approaching and movement within the industry occurring frequently, there have also been a wealth of rumors floating around. As we always warn, take them all with a grain of salt and as our readers know, we rarely post rumors unless we have some valid reason to believe they are true.
One of the larger ones that has surfaced today is that Microsoft / Xbox were making offers to acquire Bungie but that “the price was too high”. This was apparently stated during a podcast hosted by Jeff Grubb and then shared on social media.
Thankfully Pete Parsons, CEO of Bungie, confirmed the rumor was false.
