Ubisoft Forward Showcase : Full Recap and Summary

The Ubisoft Forward event, essentially the company’s E3 replacement show, just wrapped up and as expected we got new looks at their major IPs and a few surprises (but no dancing panda sadly). Below you will find the highlights of everything that was shown. Enjoy!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Naturally, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla played a big part in the presentation. Not only did we get some beautiful gameplay, but also a post-show 30 minute walkthrough. Assassin’s Creed launches on November 17th.

Watch Dogs Legion

Finally, Watch Dogs Legion has been shown in full and its back in the limelight. After a live-action video to set the mood, we got a close up look at London, some of the interesting characters choices you can make, and some mission gameplay. We especially loved the John Wick style character gameplay. The title launches on October 29th.

Far Cry 6

As we all know, the game leaked a few days ago but we got a few cinematic trailers for Far Cry 6 today and they were especially well done. Far Cry 6 launches on February 18th.

Hyperscape

As expected with it’s on-going beta, we got some gameplay for Hyperscape and a promotion where if you play the game now during the beta, you will earn a 30 tier battle pass for free.

Elite Squad

Elite Squad is a new title from Ubisoft that looks to be a team-based shooter using some of its iconic characters like Sam Fisher. It is a mobile game and you can sign up now to play it here.

Might & Magic : Era of Chaos

Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla will be coming to mobile on August 6. For all players, the epic free-to-play platform fighting game will come on the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android devices. Players can pre-register now here to get a special reward at launch.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint

A.I. teammates were announced for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, similar to Wildlands, and a short gameplay trailer was shown.

Trials Rising

An exciting endurance challenge is coming back to the Trials franchise – the Gigatrack! Beyond just a remake of the classic track from Trials Evolution, the Gigatrack tests your skills through five different environments and is the longest track in a Trials game ever. he Gigatrack is free to all Trials Rising players and releases on July 16.

Summary

Overall, outside of the three major hits, Ubisoft Forward was a little bit of a letdown in our opinion. We’re very excited for some of the major titles, but it’s rather surprising we didn’t see or hear anything at all about Gods & Monsters, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Skull & Bones, Splinter Cell, or any other truly new AAA IPs. We were certainly hoping for more than the what we already knew.

The above doesn’t cover every single thing that was shown during the show so if you missed it, we always recommend watching the full broadcast.
