This morning’s Pokemon Presents is just wrapping up and Pokemon fans were certainly in for a treat. There’s a wealth of announcements so let’s get to them.
The largest is that a new Pokemon Snap game is in development for the Switch. Bandai-Namco is handling development but no release date has been shared as of yet.
- Research various Pokémon in their natural habitats and capture Pokémon behaviors that you’ve never seen before
- Explore unknown islands with scenery like lush jungles and tropical beaches throughout your journey
- Take in-game photos to make your very own Pokémon Photodex
Here are some screenshots from Nintendo directly as well as the Snap trailer that debuted in Japan.
There are also notable updates coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Go, and a few new smaller scale Pokemon titles on the way.
Pokemon Cafe is a title coming to the Switch and mobile phones where you run a cafe for Pokemon.
Pokemon Go will be updated to allow mega-evolutions.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be expanding via the Isle of Armor expansion and beginning today, you can explore the opening region of the DLC.
Last year, we entered the Galar region for the first time in #PokemonSwordShield.

Pokemon Smile is a new app that accompanies children while they brush their teeth. You can find more details here.

Our Take
It’s certainly a good time to be a Pokemon fan! We’re already seeing the community be overjoyed at the return of Pokemon Snap while hardcore fans will have a lot more to experience with the updates to Go, Cafe, and the Isle of Armor expansion. We’re excited to see what they unveil next week!
