Like the rest of the Xbox Game Studios family, Mojang Studios is growing and has some big projects in the works.
Earlier today they announced that they are working on a feature film, an “epic” live show, and even brand new game ideas via a short video on the official Minecraft channel. Within the video, it’s noted that Mojang now consists of five studios across the world including one in Shanghai and one in Tokyo.
With that in mind, they will now be referred to as Mojang Studios. Here is their new logo:
Our Take
Growth, growth, growth. That’s what we’ve consistently seen out of Xbox Game Studios for the past 24+ months and we just continue to be excited about what it means for the future projects. Minecraft continues to be the most played game in the world so using that leverage for new projects is exciting. And remember Minecraft Dungeons launches in just over a week (the 26th)!
