What seems to be one of the worst kept secrets in Xbox game development is a reboot of the Fable series. Fans have been clamoring for Fable’s return for years and it’s widely reported that a team at Playground Games is currently working on a new title. However, nothing has been confirmed to date.
That got a little more interesting this morning as the new Fable Twitter account (why we’ve clearly labeled this a rumor), which was just created in February with the tag “watch this space“, tweeted a new message.

Our Take
Fable is both an excellent and unique RPG series and count us in as part of the group that would love to see it’s return. With so much talent at Playground Games and the coordination of the new Xbox Game Studios, we believe it could be a truly marvelous next-gen title.
