In a now deleted tweet, Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software, announced that a Borderlands movie is on the way.
According to Pitchford, Eli Roth is set to direct alongside Lionsgate and Arad Productions. Apparently this is set to debut at PAX East next week. You can find the deleted tweet below.

A Borderlands movie directed by Eli Roth? We love Borderlands and it could make for an amazing movie, but as with most game related movies, we’re unsure if the true essence will be captured. We’re definitely in the wait and see camp in this one.
