A unique new title is on its way to the Xbox One and PC. Developed by Jason Oda, Waking is described as “an emotional adventure through your dying mind“. The mechanics are said to be a combination of third-person action and guided meditation.
According to Oda, the title is partially funded by the ID@Xbox program and will be releasing “very, very soon“. You can find a few more details and screenshots via the Steam store page.
Oda also maintains a sort of “dev-diary” via Imgur with some additional clips and background information which you can find here.

Our Take
A game that combines third-person action and guided meditation? If nothing else, it sounds very interesting. As always, we’ll be checking it out soon!
