Max Schaefer, the creator and Executive Producer of Torchlight, took to the web this morning to inform everyone that Torchlight Frontiers is being officially changed to Torchlight 3.
The change comes due to feedback from Alpha players and means two core things. First, the title will be switching to a “full price premium product“. And two, it will launch on Steam in 2020. Here is the official announcement:
Our Take
While we look at this as good news, we’re rather disappointed that the team is again choosing to only release the game on PC at launch. With Torchlight’s popularity over the years on console, we were really hoping for a PS4/Xbox One/Switch release alongside PC. Hopefully they come in 2021.
