The Producer released the following statement (translated from Japanese):
“FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE ” has been eagerly developed by the staff as a whole, but we want you to spend a little more time on the final brush-up in order to deliver it in the best possible form to everyone. We have decided to change the release date to 10th. We apologize on behalf of the team to everyone who is looking forward to the release.
It is a bitter decision to keep everyone waiting, but we will deliver it to meet your expectations, so please wait for a while.”
While the delay isn’t extensive and we’re sure fans will still be there in droves at launch, this does put the release within a week of Cyberpunk 2077 which could be problematic for some fans. Regardless, we hope this delay only makes the title better for fans!
