Ori and the Will of the Wisps is still a few months away but there’s little doubt among those who’ve played it that it will once again stand tall among 2D, Metroidvania titles. Ori was an incredible title and Will of the Wisps looks to expand upon it in meaningful ways.
Developer Moon Studios is already looking to the future though and is hiring positions for work on their next game. Most interesting though, is what is referred to in their job postings. A Senior Designer position posted on Gamasutra notes that Moon Studios will be moving to the ARPG genre next where they look to “revolutionize” it. It goes without saying that a few titles have been the kings of the ARPG genre for some time with Diablo being the king and titles like Path of Exile making their mark.

Can Moon Studios break through in an entirely new genre where fans are notoriously tough critics? We don’t know, but we’re excited to find out!
