The new IP is set to debut at Gamescom on August 19th and released next year by Take-Two under their Private Division publishing label.
V1 Interactive is a new indie studio led by Marcus Lehto (former Creative Director on Halo) and filled with game industry veterans.
Private Division head Michael Worosz said about Lehto “…a gaming icon whose creativity has influenced an entire industry. We’ve been with Marcus and the V1 Interactive team since the studio’s inception and have seen the organization grow its talent base throughout our partnership. As such, we have high confidence in Disintegration, and cannot wait to introduce it as another unique experience that further enhances the Private Division lineup.”
Our Take
We’re not sure what to think of Disintegration just yet, but an indie studio filled with industry veterans and led by Marcus Lehto certainly has our attention. We’ll be paying close attention to this one in the future and will report back from Gamescom!
