While information has been scarce on Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing so far this year, thanks to Nintendo’s financial report we can at least confirm that the two titles are still planned for 2019 releases.
You can find the full report here, but the notable information on future releases can be found on pages 7 & 8 which confirm that Animal Crossing, Luigi’s Mansion, and Zelda : Link’s Awakening are all still planned for 2019 release in the US.
Our Take
At this point we have to imagine we’ll see an E3 based Nintendo Treehouse Direct which will speak to the rest of the Switch’s lineup for the remainder of 2019. If the rumors hold, this could also align with new Switch hardware announcements. One thing cannot be denied and that is the Switch’s momentum. It led NPD again in March and is rather quickly becoming one of the fastest selling consoles in history. With new Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Zelda, and Luigi games coming in a six month span, we don’t see that momentum slowing down any time soon.
