Borderlands 3 : All the Details from PAX on Everything Borderlands

It’s. Finally. Happening. Borderlands 3 is real. While Gearbox shared a lot about their company today beyond Borderlands, and had some issues with the equipment at PAX East, the main attraction is no doubt the amazing trailer we got for Borderlands 3.

It seems the details we shared yesterday via a leak were accurate after all as you could see many of them in the trailer. No release date sadly but the trailer certainly got the crowd and millions around the world excited!

But that’s not all. Not only is the Handsome Collection getting a UHD 4K update for free, but Borderlands 1 Game of the Year Edition was confirmed for the Xbox One and PS4 as well with many additional details being added including:

  • 4 player co-op
  • Mini-map support
  • 4K and 60fps support
  • New skins/heads for all the characters
  • All 4 add-on packs

It releases next week on April 3rd!

Our Take

Despite some filler, a magic trick (which actually was pretty impressive), and technical issues, the point was made that Gearbox is supporting Borderlands in a big way. Soon, all the Borderlands games will be playable on current consoles in 4K and that’s amazing. But of course the main attraction is Borderlands 3 which looks exactly as we hoped it would with multiple planets/biomes, crazy new characters, endless weaponry, and the madness and humor we’ve come to love from the franchise. Bring. It. On.
