It seems that the long rumored update to the Elite controller is yet again left to our imaginations. Instead, the Xbox team announced today white versions of the Xbox One X, Elite controller, and the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2.
- The first white Xbox One X is available via the Microsoft Store and Gamestop (and other retailers globally) as part of a Fallout 76 bundle for $499.99.
- The white Elite controller will be available at Microsoft Stores and Gamestops (and other retailers globally) as well and is available to pre-order now for $149.99.
- The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 will retail for $249.99 and be available in the US on September 16th and in Europe on October 8th.
Our Take
We’re disappointed that there are no new hardware announcements which leaves us wondering where this long rumored Elite Controller 2.0 is at this point. Regardless, more options for consumers is a good thing so if you’ve been waiting for a white Xbox One X or Elite controller, today is a good day!
