In a rather strange move, Insomniac Games and Sony have decided to date and price DLC for the yet unreleased Spider-Man.
The expansion is titled “The Heist” and will release on October 23rd for $9.99 individually.
As you play the base game, you’ll realize that Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, is back in town and she’s leaving clues around town to toy with Spider-Man. In Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist, she finally reveals herself. Featuring new missions and challenges, as well as a brand new faction of enemies and three additional suits to unlock, you won’t want to miss it.
You can also purchase the season pass titled “The City that Never Sleeps” for $24.99 which will include The Heist in October and and two more expansions prior to the end of the year (titled Turf Wars and Silver Lining).
Our Take
Spider-Man is clearly one of the most anticipated titles of the Fall and arrives next week! That said, we’re a little surprised that DLC is arriving so soon after launch and a little disappointed that they went with the typical “season pass” type of approach (as we’ve discussed on SG before). Regardless, it is great to see extended support for the title and we’re sure people will enjoy it!
