Generation Zero was announced a while ago from Avalanche Studios, best known for the Just Cause series and the recent Mad Max title. Today, just prior to Gamescom, we received our first official look at what we can expect in the gameplay department.
Our Take
So we’re looking at an A.I. driven, post-apocalyptic, co-op, survival shooter? Alright, we can get on board with that! We believe the success of Generation Zero, not that it differs from most games, will be in how its progression and co-op aspects are handled. If it can successfully blend genres and offer sustained content, it could be a real winner. But with Destiny 2 Forsaken, Fallout 76, and Anthem all on the market in the next 6 months, Avalanche certainly faces some stiff competition.
