Time to once again pick up your axe! The free update to God of War that adds new game plus will be released on August 20th. There are a few additional details to share:
- Starting New Game+, you’ll retain your armors, enchantments, talismans, resources, and abilities.
- Even higher level enemies will be present, some with unique new moves.
- “Skap Slag” is a new resource to collect to craft and upgrade equipment to a new rarity level.
- New armor sets and enchantments.
- The ability to skip cutscenes and cinematics.
Our Take
We’ve said nearly all we need to say about God of War. It’s a tremendous title and certainly the leader for Game of the Year at the moment. Given so many players wanting to experience the journey again, we love this addition to the game especially given the bonuses that have been included.
