Below, which seems to have been forgotten by most at this point in time, is resurfacing. The title which debuted with the Xbox One in 2013, has been hiding in development for a few years now but we’ve been following it rather closely and it seems that it may finally be time for the title to shine.

Capybara Games is currently showing the game off in playable form at GDC as part of the ID@Xbox lineup. Additionally, Creative Director Kris Piotrowski in speaking with Engadget has confirmed that the team is applying the final rounds of polish to the title in anticipation of a 2018 release on PC and Xbox One. Additionally, he confirmed that 4K and 60fps will be supported on the Xbox One X.

As noted, we’ve been following the game closely with Porshapwr featuring it as part of his “10 Games to Watch in 2018” which you find here:

Our Take

It’s been a long time coming, but Below has a tremendous amount of potential and we suspect it could be featured quite heavily during Microsoft’s E3 conference this year. Of course we’ll continue to follow its progress and will share more details when we have them!
