Naughty Dog President Evan Wells, via a statement on naughtydog.com this morning, announced the promotion of Neil Druckmann to Vice President.
In recognition of his expanded role, contributing on critical, studio level decisions, Neil Druckmann is now Vice President of Naughty Dog. He’s been a vital part of the management team for some time now, and we’re proud to formally acknowledge his involvement. In addition to his new position, Neil will continue as the Creative Director on The Last of Us Part II.

Our Take
While we obviously have no insight into the workings inside of Naughty Dog, from the outside this seems like very positive news and we congratulate Neil, Anthony, and Kurt on their new roles. It had felt as though there had been a lot of negative news relating to studios and leadership lately so this makes for a nice surprise.
