Psyonix announced the latest accomplishment for Rocket League last night and it’s certainly one they should be proud of. The game which began life as a small indie title, has now surpassed 40 million players worldwide; a staggering accomplishment.

Our Take
Rocket League is a perfect example of an indie title done right. It launched with relatively little fanfare but was well designed, intuitive, and balanced. Post-launch support from Psyonix has been fantastic both in terms of content and for the many platforms it is now playable on. Psyonix has also been outspoken about allowing crossplay between players on all platforms, something that the PC, Xbox One, and Switch now allow which we love.
