Metal Gear Survive is a game that is sure to receive a lot of negative attention due to the way Konami handled Kojima’s departure. Whether or not it’s a good game is yet to be determined, but what we can tell you is that it arrives on Feburary 20, 2018 (February 22nd in Europe) for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. To say watching the downfall of Konami has been disappointing would be a gross understatement. Responsible for some of the most memorable classics of all-time, Konami has seemingly made drastic changes in the way it wants to conduct business. Add to that the way in which they treated Kojima during the tail-end of Phantom Pain’s development and they don’t have many fans left in the industry. Regardless, we’ll see what becomes of Metal Gear Survive next year, but in our opinion, merely having the Metal Gear name in the title isn’t going to suffice.
