After a big reception at E3, Xbox fans have patiently been waiting for original Xbox games to become playable on the Xbox One. Finally, it seems as though today is the day.

A list of 13 titles has been posted on the Xbox Store ranging from $10-$15. If you have the disc still, those will work as well. The games have been enhanced to 1080p with improved framerates though they are still in 4:3 perspective. The list is as follows:

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
  • Red Faction 2
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Black
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
  • Psychonauts
  • Dead to Rights
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!
  • BloodRayne 2
  • The King of Fighters Neowave

Our Take

We love this. The original Xbox is home to a lot of games that feel underappreciated (Crimson Skies) and ones we simply love to play repeatedly (KOTOR/Psychonauts). The improvements to resolution and framerate are very welcome as well. We know we’ll be jumping back into some of these. Which ones are you looking forward to playing or would you like to see?  Let us know!
