Hinterland Studio announced today that after years of development time in the Steam Early Access and Xbox Preview Programs, The Long Dark will officially launch on August 1st. It will be available on Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
Our Take
The Long Dark has developed a very loyal fanbase over the past few years so it’s nice to see them finally get to version “1.0” of the game and to also open up to PS4 players. It will be interesting to see how they handle future updates given the “Wintermute Season One” announcement. Stay tuned to SG for more on The Long Dark in the coming weeks.
