Well, what Activision said wouldn’t happen is happening. Despite still being listed as only available through Infinite Warfare on their support page, you will be able to purchase Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare Remastered both digitally and by disc on June 27th for $39.99.

Our Take
We certainly don’t agree with Activision’s approach in how they’ve handled the selling of Modern Warfare Remastered. That said, we are pleased that more people will get to experience one of the classic FPS titles of our time.
