DICE formally debuted some concept art and details on the first expansion for Battlefield 1 today. Titled “They Shall Not Pass”, the expansion will focus on the French Army faction and also bring new maps and weapons. Specific battles from The Great War were used for inspiration for the expansion, some of which are highlighted with concept art in the Battlefield blog which you can find here: Battlefield 1 Blog : Expansion 1
Our Take
Battlefield 1 has been a monster hit for DICE and it looks as though they are putting a lot of work into the expansions for the game. As they represent some of the most important moments in human history, we feel it’s only appropriate that they do. We’re looking forward to seeing more from “They Shall Not Pass” soon!
