Soulframe : Digital Extremes Explores New Worlds

Digital Extremes, the studio behind Warframe, revealed a new trailer for its highly anticipated game Soulframe at this year’s Summer Game Fest 2026. The trailer didn’t share new gameplay details, it was mostly based on vibes, and the vibes are good. Real good. Fans and new players alike don’t have to wait to get hands-on: an alpha is available now, and players can sign up for early access to Soulframe Preludes now. Any progress earned during the alpha carries over into the full release.

The world looks gorgeous, with a distinctive armor style reminiscent of the Tenno’s Warframes, and combat that looks fast, action-oriented, and satisfying. Unlike Warframe‘s sci-fi setting, Soulframe unfolds in a beautifully crafted fantasy world, drawing on the studio’s strength in tightly crafted, satisfying multiplayer action.

Seasoned Gaming will get a preview of Soulframe as well as coming Warframe updates on Saturday, June 6, and we’ll share more then. Whether you’re a longtime Warframe fan or new to Digital Extremes, this is a game we’ve had our eye on for a long time, and it’s shaping up to be one of our most anticipated.

Visit the official Soulframe website to register for Alpha access today, and stay tuned for more updates from Summer Game Fest 2026 over the next few days. Plenty more to come!

Reviewing games helps me argue that the countless hours of gaming is actually me being productive. I’m especially drawn to RPGs and survival horror, though I also love exploring indies of all genres. Some of my all-time favorites include Planescape: Torment, Earthbound, Guild Wars 2, Persona 5, and The Evil Within 2. I game on a variety of platforms - PC, Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, and PS5 - and I’m proudly passionate about the PlayStation Portal.
