During PlayStation’s State of Play one of the biggest overviews was of Rise of the Ronin, Team Ninja‘s latest action-RPG. Set in Japan in 1863, the synopsis is as follows:
After three centuries of the Tokugawa Shogunate’s oppressive rule, the Black Ships of the West descend upon the nation’s borders and the country falls into a state of turmoil. Amidst the chaos of war, disease and political unrest, a nameless warrior forges their own path, holding the very fate of Japan in their hands.
Rise of the Ronin looks to re-create an authentic period in Japanese history via a dense open-world while integrating the highly-tuned, fast-paced action Team Ninja games are known for.
