Former Riot, Blizzard Developers Debut New Competitive Shooter

Mountaintop Studios was founded in 2020 by a co-founder of Oculus (Nate Mitchell). Since it’s founding, the studio has acquired former developers from the likes of Naughty Dog, Riot Games, Blizzard, and more. Their focus? Develop the new community-driven, competitive shooter.

According to a report from Game Informer, Mountaintop has said it hopes their new game “has 10,000 hours of depth and fosters incredible communities and lasting friendships.

The art-style of the game is reportedly inspired by anime and comics and could be faction based. According to a studio post on its website, it’s described as follows:

The game is set in a brand new universe, inspired by our favorite comics, anime, and manga. It’s a world where players can build a legacy through teamwork and competition.

We’ll be paying close attention to Mountaintop’s progress with their game and will report back when we learn more!
