Well this is certainly an announcement for a Wednesday morning. Valve took to Twitter to announce that Counter Strike 2 is coming and provided a wealth of details of what exactly that means.

As the tweet says, the limited test of CS2 begins today. The details are very specific and Valve has launched a new site to cover the details.

Our Take
This is massive news. CS has been a staple in the gaming industry for many, many years and continues to be one of the most played and most competitive shooters on the market. Valve is clearly taking their time and ensuring that is not disrupted with the work they are putting into Counter Strike 2. We’ll have to see how the broader, competitive community responds to the changes but we can already foresee a division brewing. Time will tell!
