It’s hard to believe, but in several months there will be a live E3 conference in the Los Angeles Convention Center. That’s right the gaming event returns and is being organized by the ESA in coordination with ReedPop (PAX).
This morning the plan was detailed and it looks as though the event will take on a format that many in the industry have requested which is separate days for “Media” and fans. The event will run from June 13, 2023 through the 16th. However the 13th and 14th will be for media only and will feature halls, VIP areas, media engagement setups, and more solely for those covering the event.
It will then open on the 15th for fans where they will have two days to interact with their favorite developers, publishers, and games. This event will occur in a different hall than the Media sections thus allowing for better ease of access and a more focused event.
Our Take
Can E3 return and have the same impact it had for decades? How will Summer Game Fest align now that it, too, will have a live event? We’re not sure but we’re simply to have live gaming events back in our lives. We’ll certainly be providing coverage from the show floor so stay tuned!
