Outriders First Major Expansion, ‘Worldslayer’, Revealed

At just over a year since Outriders originally released, the team at People Can Fly have shared a digital presentation revealing the games first major expansion, “Worldslayer”. Worldslayer aims to bring a new campaign taking place directly after the events of the base game, involving some familiar faces and new fiery antagonist. Additionally Worldslayer will include some new gear to chase, endgame progression improvements and new endgame modes. The latter of which was only teased in the reveal, with People Can Fly mentioning more will be revealed in future presentations. Take a look at some word’s from the developers and the full presentation below.

“We can’t wait for players to experience WORLDSLAYER. In addition to a whole new story, we’ve introduced a number of new features that really expands and improves on everything players loved about the original game,” said Bartek Kmita, Creative Director at People Can Fly. “WORLDSLAYER includes nearly a hundred new legendary items, higher gear level caps, Apocalypse tier difficulty, Apocalypse gear, and new ways to progress your Outrider with the all-new PAX tree and Ascension levels. Not to mention the Trial of Tarya Gratar, a new endgame experience that’s different from anything we’ve done in OUTRIDERS before”.

While Outriders did not exactly blow us away with its launch, steady updates from the developers and some free DLC have certainly helped polish what I personally consider to be a diamond in the rough. The expansion will be sold in a bundle with the base game for $59.99 USD or as a upgrade for people who already own the base game at $39.99 USD. Keep in mind that since Outriders is on Gamepass, members will get an additional 10% off. New players will have the option to jump right into Worldslayer with free level 30 boosts, and pre-ordering Worldslayer will also grant you 48-hour early access to the content. See you on Enoch, June 30th 2022!
