On the four-year anniversary of God of War (one of the very few games to receive a 10 from us), fans were hoping for an update on the next entry in God of War Ragnarok. While not a formal statement, a developer at Sony Santa Monica did confirm that the game will release in 2022 as planned.
Bruno Velazquez, an Animation Director at Sony Santa Monica, gave the confirmation on Twitter in responding to a fan question.

Additionally, while no specific date was given with regard to the next presentation on the game, Game Director Cory Barlog also provided a message to fans:
4 years ago, God of War (2018) released! We’re grateful to all of you who joined Kratos and Atreus on their journey, and we’re so proud of the team who worked to bring it to life.
