In a new report out of Bloomberg, Sega is working on full reboots of two of its classic franchises in Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio.
According to the report, the two reboots would be the first entries in Sega’s “Super Game Initiative”, which the company previously announced to develop recurring revenue sources.
Crazy Taxi has reportedly already been in development for over a year while Jet Set Radio was the other IP named in a report of “recapitalization.”
The Super Game Initiative is led by Shuji Utsumi, a former PlayStation executive, and currently includes plans for about four titles. We’ll certainly be keeping an eye on this as the news develops!
