While the Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta has received widespread praise from fans, the progression system has been a sore spot. Tied solely to the battle pass, progression is only completed through challenges which can not only change the gameplay of matches, but also moves quite slowly.
John Junyszek, Community Manager for 343, tackled the subject just now via Twitter. In short, they’ll be making some updates later this week which are just the first steps to larger updates. They consist of:
- A repeatable “Play a match” challenge which will reward XP for every match played.
- An update to weekly challenges which will simplify them and be for less specific tasks.
- Increase Double XP bonuses to one hour instead of thirty minutes.
