There’s been a wealth of speculation and minor leaks lately, but thanks to reporting by Jez Corden of Windows Central Gaming, there are a few new details of upcoming Xbox Game Studios projects.
Earlier this week, a major leak of supposed upcoming titles came from an NVIDIA database. While some of the titles were already known, and others purely speculation, there were a few nuggets of info to note relating to future Xbox games that haven’t been widely discussed prior.
First is “Project Indus” from developer Oxide Games. According to the report, Indus is a real-time strategy game that could be somewhat similar to Civilization. The report also states that this could be built natively for remote/cloud streaming.
The second, and likely more notable entry, is “Project Cobalt”. The report states that Cobalt is the new, triple-A game being developed by inXile Entertainment, and will be a FPS RPG. The setting is said to be a Victorian-era city inspired by the industrial revolution and having a Steampunk aesthetic.
The image below was shared by inXile artist Aleksander Danilovac, and the game is reportedly aiming for release in 2023.
