With video game franchises beginning to hit their stride in TV and movies, it’s no surprise that more and more IPs are being bought by the biggest players. The Witcher broke records for Netflix, and Viacom and HBO have entered the game with Halo and The Last of Us shows which will debut in 2022.
According to a new report out of Giant Freakin Robot, Netflix has secured rights to turn Dishonored into a series.
No specific details were shared at this point though it will be interesting to see if the series begins with the outset of the original Dishonored which saw Corvo Attano, the bodyguard for the empress, witness her murder and the kidnapping of her daughter. Corvo then escapes his imprisonment to avenge her murder and find her daughter. It certainly could make for an intriguing series if done well.
