Xbox Adds a Wealth of Backwards Compatible Titles to Cloud Streaming

When it comes to backwards compatibility, Xbox has been far and away leading the charge in the industry. Today, they took yet another step in offering experiences for their customers with cloud streaming additions.

Beginning today, 16 new titles are available via Cloud Gaming through the Xbox Game Pass app on Android devices. The titles are:

  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • Double Dragon Neon
  • Fable II
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Gears of War 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Gears of War: Judgment
  • Jetpac Refuelled (touch controls enabled)
  • Kameo
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Viva Piñata (touch controls enabled)
  • Viva Piñata: TIP (touch controls enabled)

Our Take

Whether or not you plan to take part in this, you have to respect the offering. The capability to log into a game from 2007, on your phone, and pick up right where you left off over a decade ago is incredibly impressive. And it speaks to the investment Xbox has made into the entire ecosystem.
